Orientation

After two days of busy staff training, the youth have arrived! Today we focused on a number of orientation activities, including team building and icebreakers. Hezi taught us a new game he calls "Sounds," which had the whole gym ringing with tones, claps, and noises of all type. You can see a clip of us below:

Then, we broke into small groups to discuss what we thought the guidelines for the program should be. The Youth and staff members collaborated and we ended up with a graphical representation of our rules for the summer .

For lunch we had a delicious caesar salad, prepared with organic lettuce from a nearby farm.

After paperwork, we were up and active again, and headed home at 3, ready for the next day of training!

Grauduate Program:

Willie Williams, a fifth year FFT program participant, worked with Miss Celia to install irrigation for the vegetable beds in the Kimberton Waldorf school garden. They also weeded the blueberry beds. Tamara Griffin , also in her fifth year, helped to harvest the basil and lay it out for drying.
